A field service engineer at Mercia Dental has every opportunity to develop key technical knowledge with leading manufacturers and is trusted to develop lasting client relationships and act independently to attract new business.

The crucial part

We ask that you are experienced, have a good understanding of electrical & mechanical principals, approachable and willing to learn our method of working.

You will need a clean drivers licence.

You might be asked to start early and finish late, but rarely will there be an overnight stay. If so, you will be compensated.

You will be asked to travel between the Midlands and London areas when necessary.

We pride ourselves on integrity and loyalty. Timekeeping is important and being able to communicate and adapt all kinds of people is crucial.

Your duties:

You will be required to visit dental practices and repair equipment including;

⁃ Dental chairs

⁃ Compressors

⁃ Autoclaves

⁃ Suction pumps

⁃ X-ray equipment

⁃ Digital imaging products

You will be experienced at diagnosing issues and able to repair most faults on site using any parts required from one of our fully-stocked vans.

You will be confident contacting manufacturers to get updated prices and stock availability and be able to relay that information to customers.

You will have to write up job reports and be able to organise your diary coherently.
